Mission: Partnering Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics and Research institutes for  value
co-creation and knowledge development.

Platforms:  Deploy innoaf crowdsourcing platform www.innoaf.com  within Universities, Polytechnics and Research institutes infrastructures into regional clusters of excellence  to drive innovation -driven economy and job creation.

Objective:  Nigeria’s economy global competitiveness and human capital development.

The INNOAF Academy  was established to develop a deeper understanding of the evolving global economy and Nigeria competitiveness cum Africa role in the twenty first century. Our goal is to provide leaders in the commercial, public, and social sectors with the facts and insights on which to make intelligent decision on innovation management and wealth creation. To recover from the current economic crisis and mono-economy ( hydrocarbon economy) requires rebuilding Nigeria wealth-generating machine – that is, restoring the ability of enterprises to develop and manufacture high-technology products  across Nigeria and  raise, its citizens’ standard of living. Reversing the decline in competitiveness will require two drastic changes. The government must alter the way it supports both basic and applied scientific research to promote the kind of broad collaboration of business, academia, and government needed to tackle society’s big problems (Job creations, real sector etc.). Corporate management must overhaul its practices and governance structures so they no longer exaggerate the payoffs and discount the dangers of outsourcing production and cutting investments in Research & Development (R&D).

INNOAF role is to encapsulate the foundation for innovation and competitiveness mobilizing resources (capital and human), R&D know-how, advanced process development and engineering skills, and manufacturing competencies related to a specific technology and deployment. Such resources may be embedded in a large number of companies and universities and others institutions nationally. Software knowledge and skills, for instance, are vital to an extremely wide range of industries (machine tools, medical devices, earth-moving equipment, automobiles, aircraft, computers, consumer electronics, defence). Similarly, capabilities related to thin-film deposition processes are crucial to sophisticated optics; to such electronic products as semiconductors and disk drives; and to industrial tools, packaging, solar panels, and advanced displays. The knowledge, skills, and equipment related to the development and production of advanced materials are needed for such diverse industries as aerospace, automobiles, medical devices, and consumer products, Biotechnology for agriculture and environment, and the emerging alternative-fuels industry.

  • Rationale
Innovation, talent development and institutional strength continue to play a defining role in determining world’s most competitive economies in the Global Competitiveness Report   Sub-Saharan Africa continues to register impressive growth rates close to 5%. Introduction of Agriculture Technical Innovation School

Sustainable growth of agricultural production is necessary to achieve the goals to improve food self-sufficiency rate, ensure food security, reduce the number of undernourished people and decrease povertyIn order to expand agricultural production in Nigeria and Africa to cope with population increase at the annual rate of more than 2% (percent), it is necessary to increase production by increasing yield per unit of land through improvement of varieties and production methods, because it is questionable whether it is possible to increase the growing area at the past pace.  This means that the yield of such African traditional food crops as maize, millet, sorghum, cassava and legume should be increased by growing better varieties and improving production techniques. In order to respond to a wide variety of demand for human resources necessary for agricultural and rural development cooperation in Nigeria and Africa, it is necessary to improve the data bank of international cooperation specialists with a list of a wide variety of personnel including agriculture-related officials of the national and prefectural governments, university staff and people in private section.

The viability of the proposed farmer’s field school innovation is key to growth and competitiveness of Nigeria and Africa economy. The benefits of innovation to both state and national level are irrefutable but powered with human capacity development. Management innovation indicates quality of planning and provide focus on four major forces that motivate people to do things : Money, Ideology, Conscience, and Ego (MICE). These same forces also motivate managers in the decisions they make. Any one of these is a potential driver for executives, the tough part is figuring out which one. This is where INNOAF farmer field school® solution comes into play. Looking at past decisions, try to determine which buckets they normally fall into.
